AME Course Under CAR-147 (Basic)

The Academy of Aviation & Engineering offers a DGCA-approved Aircraft Maintenance Engineering program under CAR-147 (Basic). Training is delivered in line with CAR-66 regulations and covers the following licence streams:

  • Cat. B1.1 (Mechanical-Aeroplane Turbine) – Engineers licensed in this category are authorised to certify maintenance on heavy aeroplanes powered by jet engines. Ideal for those aiming to join domestic or international airlines in a mechanical maintenance role.
  • Cat. B 2 (Avionics) – Engineers licensed in this category are authorised to certify electrical, instrument and radio-navigation systems fitted on all types of aircraft, within the defined scope of their approval.
Scope of Approval

Academy of Aviation & Engineering is approved by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation, Government of India, for the following AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineering) course at Bengaluru Centre for Basic License covering.
